LMGW Staff Supports our Local Community with 2nd Annual Community Service Day

November 20^th, 2014 dawned rainy and cold but that didn’t stop LMGW staff from their commitment to serving those in need in our community. For our second annual LMGW Community Volunteer Day, we chose a local nonprofit organization, The Saratoga Area Senior Coordinating Council (SASCC). (www.sascc.org)

Once again, our dedicated Senior Accountant Katie Vachon acted as coordinator, working with Partner Michael Bryant and SASCC staff to identify areas of need. Katie rallied LMGW troops into work groups prepared to provide the center and its members with some much needed attention. Read more

LMGW Extended Family Making National Press

Justina Bryant, wife of audit partner, Michael Bryant has made national news with the expansion of her 21-Day Kindness Challenge. The program was launched last year as a local anti-bullying campaign and is now expanding to more than 50 schools across the nation. Read more in the article featured in American Profile:

LMGW Continues to Grow

We are pleased to announce our new team member Michael (Mike) R. Johnson, CPA. Mike joins us as a Senior Accountant. Mike received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Accounting from San Jose State University in 2006. He worked with Abbott, Stringham and Lynch in San Jose, CA as a tax senior for five years, and most recently, from 2011 through 2014 as a Senior Business Management Accountant with Tanner, Mainstain, Blatt, Glynn and Johnson in Los Angeles, CA.  Mike’s wife recently completed medical school and they are happy to have returned to their home in the Bay Area.

4 Years Running: LMGW Named One of the “Best Accounting Firms to Work For”

LMGW Certified Public Accountants, LLP (LMGW) was recently named as one of the 2012 Best Accounting Firms to Work for. This annual list was created by Accounting Today and Best Companies Group to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the accounting industry. This is the fourth time that LMGW has been included in the annual list.

The Best Accounting Firms to Work for list is made up of a total of 100 companies, split into three groups: 47 small-sized companies (15-49 employees), 45 medium-sized companies (50-249 employees) and 8 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees). LMGW has been named one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work for in the small category.

The rankings of the 4th annual Best Accounting Firms to Work for were recently unveiled at an awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
